Finding Faith and Meaning in an Uncertain World

We’re living through a period of immense change and while we have always known these end times would be turbulent and stormy, some people are feeling anxiety and concern.

World events may be developing in a way that may seem unexpected, especially if we’re not informed about the background situation.

This lack of meaning or sense of being out of control may spill over into our personal lives and lead to underlying anxiety or feeling that we can’t plan and think about the future.

This is where Astrology can play a part by helping us find faith and meaning. Astrology shows us the big picture and a sense of an overarching divine plan, which can help us feel more anchored and navigate our journey with more clarity.

Recently we moved through an ‘eclipse corridor’ along with the very rare re-set energy of Saturn merging with Neptune in Aries in the first degree of the zodiac. This energy is bold, dynamic and radical and we need courage and inner confidence to navigate these stormy seas as the repressive structures of control are dissolved.

The word courage comes from the French Coeur, so an invitation to soften and come into our heart. This grand new beginning is accompanied by an ending and we may need to transmute both personal and collective pain.

Aries is a fire sign, represented by Red. Aries is ruled by Mars and, in Colour Mirrors, Mars is Red and Orange bottle number 9. Bold action, setting boundaries and expression of anger may actually be a spiritual calling or a way of being of service, all the more so when much of the world doesn’t see it this way. The year 2025 also reduces to a 9.

The Spring Equinox, when the Sun moves into Aries, is on the 20th March this year and is accompanied by a whole host of planetary bodies in Aries: Neptune, Saturn, Venus, Eris and Chiron.

While all this fire may inspire us and ignite our enthusiasm, it can also feel a bit strong or ‘in your face’.

This is where colour comes in. Faced with so much Aries energy we can draw on the complementary colour of green. Here we can find balance, boundaries and space. This the energy of growth, gentleness and the heart. Spring just happens of its own accord when we judge nothing and nurture hope and new growth.

Current Astrological blessings include the forward movement of Jupiter at 15 degrees of Cancer from Friday 13th March conjunct the fixed star Sirius with its Egyptian regal connections. It brings themes of loving kindness, opportunity and expansion and in terms of colour we can draw on the deep indigo blue of the Moon, ruler of Cancer to support ourselves to feel protected and peaceful.

The sabian symbol or image for this degree of the zodiac is interesting: “A modern Samson is trying to overthrow the columns of a temple. At his feet, on the steps, lies a dead lion and lower down still a hedgehog is putting its little paw on a dead serpent”.

Passively accepting bullying or hypocrisy is no longer an option and we’re living in times where we need to summon our strength to fight for peace.
