Colour Blue: A Powerful Gateway to hearing your Intuitive Voice

by Fiona Radman

True Blue

At the first fabulous FOC summit in March of this year, I was delighted to present a talk called ‘Know Your Inner Voice’, linking the intuitive inner voice with the throat and the colour Blue. Here I talk more about this beautiful colour.

Blue, an azure sky Blue, is traditionally associated with the Throat Chakra (an Indian Sanskrit word for wheel of energy) and our centre of communication. As such, the colour Blue can help resolve issues around communication: how you tell your stories, how you truly express your feelings, how you share your gifts, your humanity.

You may be good at listening and witnessing someone’s feelings, being a shoulder to cry on, giving words of encouragement and support. This

way you help to heal another.

However, communication is also about hearing and listening to your inner self. Are you able to hear that quiet intuitive voice that always faithfully ‘has your back’, or does the loud inner critic take over? Knowing the difference between ego and intuition can be a gamechanger.

Happily, the psychology and interpretation of colour has been developed over centuries by psychologists, psychiatrists, healers, therapists, scientists, artists. A cornucopia of information that has been handed down for us to explore, enjoy and use to our advantage. Indeed, colour has been a healing therapy for centuries.

Interestingly, Orange, where we hold wounds and trauma, is the complementary colour to Blue, and can help soothe and heal Blue situations.

In the Colour Mirrors system of coloured oils and essences, one bottle is frequently chosen, C5 the bottle representing the Throat Chakra.

As Colour Mirrors is a therapeutic energy tool, bathing or dabbing the oil on your skin can help transform whatever issue is presenting.

For example, the energy inherent in bottle C5 offers an opportunity to reconnect to self- confidence, to genuine self-expression, to greater self-worth.

Also, an opening to a quiet space so you can hear that soft inner intuitive voice, allowing a deeper connection to the higher self for guidance. We don’t have to do this journey alone.

Blue is also a colour associated with angels, especially the protective energies of Archangel Michael and Mother Mary. You are safe to communicate and speak up.

Here is a simple exercise using Blue in a healing image:

Imagine being relaxed and gazing up at the sky on a clear sunny day. Close your eyes and sense yourself being absorbed into this clean azure Blue. Sense it filling your whole self and aura. Let your thoughts go, and just stay with this cool and peaceful colour for a while. Allow any messages, images or guidance from your intuitive self to emerge in the quiet.. Slowly bring yourself back to the present, remembering what you have been given.
